In the 1950s in the United States, with the emergence of the military jet, the pilot's jacket—an essential piece of equipment for the Air Force and Navy alongside instruments—underwent a radical change with the introduction of the MA-1. Originally designed as lifesaving equipment, the flight jacket quickly established itself as a fashion icon. In 2019, it became the source of inspiration for Bell & Ross in its quest for innovative designs.
